Our Mission:
The First Stop Help Center serves as a compassionate resource to empower Fremont County residents experiencing emergency needs to attain or sustain financial self sufficiency.
Who we are:
The First Stop Help Center is dedicated to helping people in crisis, especially those facing homelessness. Our most important goal is to help people achieve financial stability and long-term sustainability. The First Stop Help Center is a non-profit (501 c3), non-denominational organization that serves as the “first stop” for individuals and families in crisis. We provide Emergency Financial Assistance and a Financial Education Program. We also help people apply to Energy Assistance programs, other federal and state programs and provide referrals to community agencies.
Every week, people turn to the First Stop Help Center. Some folks are in crisis, homeless, hungry or about to have their utilities shut off. Some folks have lost a job or sudden illness has drained financial resources.
The First Stop Help Center is where individuals and families can begin to get the help they need to find stability and exit the cycle of poverty.
